| March 10th, 2012 MAPT Central Area Meeting Laughter: A Healing Medicine Using Humor in Play Therapy 1:00 pm-4:00pm at The Lighthouse Counseling Center  This workshop will give a brief overview of the benefits of combining humor with play therapy. There will be a tour of a play therapy facility and activities to help emphasize the power of laughter in play. Learning Objectives: At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to: 1) Name and describe 3 means of integrating laughter into the play therapy sessions. 2) Identify 4 ways to illustrate the body and life benefit from laughter in play therapy. 3) Describe 3 play therapy techniques using laughter that helps reduce stress and anger.
